St Joseph’s Convent School ICSE, Coonoor was established in 2020 with 80 pupil and 6 staff members in response to the public demand for ICSE (Indian Certificate of Secondary Education) curriculum in SJC campus which is catering with Stateboard syllabus since 1900 by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Tarbes.
Sr. Assumpta.K our Correspondent, manifested the initiative to enrich flexible education in the young minds through the ICSE Board. With the recognition granted by the government of Tamil Nadu and affiliated by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), St Joseph’s Convent School has become a full pledged institution with classes up to 10th. We are a co-educational institution that is open to the children of all communities irrespective of caste, creed, religion or region.
The school inculcates a holistic education to develop the skills that helps in making a good human as part of our society. We have caring, dedicated and efficient faculties who create opportunity for the children where in they would be nurtured and groomed to face the future confidently. Our institution has always been a stress free environment which meets the needs of every individual.

Our Staff
The teaching and the non- teaching staff at our institution are dedicated and work hand in hand for the betterment of the students. At St Joseph’s Convent School we firmly believe that education is a collaborative effort between the teachers and the learner. Our staff’s active involvement plays a significant role in supporting the child’s education to create a strong foundation for their future success. Our strong belief is that we as teachers are not dictators or commanders but a friend, guide and a working partner. Our most important duty is to bring utmost discipline and life values in our children. We encourage them to work collectively and co-operatively.
